DirectionsEven avoiding all tolls (otherwise one toll @ €1.70) the house can be reached by dual carriageway in under three hours from St. Malo, (4 hours Caen,) into which Brittany Ferries have frequent sailings from Portsmouth. The simplest route takes in the stunning Loire bridge to the west of Nantes and passes through La Roche sur Yon, Napoleon's capital of the Vendee.
